The UN–Nippon Foundation Fellowship on Ocean Affairs & the Law of the Sea is a fully funded, prestigious program for mid-level professionals from developing countries .


  •  3 months of advanced training at the UN in New York

  •  6 months of research at a top host institution worldwide

  •  Monthly stipend, airfare, health insurance & book allowance

  •  Hands-on experience with global experts in ocean governance & UNCLOS

  •  Build lasting international networks for sustainable ocean management



Eligible for professionals aged 25–45 from developing states directly working on ocean affairs, maritime law, and SDG-14.
