The Young Academics Program aims to empower future leaders through a comprehensive 15-month course that combines theoretical knowledge grounded in biblical and Pasifika indigenous knowledge philosophies and practical attachments in iTaukei communities. The Pacific Islands Leadership Program (PILP) with Taiwan is a six-week hybrid program. The program begins with an online, asynchronous module in preparation for the in-person program in Honolulu, Hawai'i on the East-West Center campus for two-weeks. Participants will continue their journey in Taiwan hosted by the Republic of China's (Taiwan) Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (IDIA).
