Online Self-Study Support Group - Newly Arrived Young People

SSI is a national not-for-profit organisation providing dedicated human and social services to a diverse Australia. With community at the heart of everything we do, our purpose is to create a world in which everyone has access to equal opportunities.

They are currently hosting an Online Self-Study Support Group for high school students. This program is designed for newly arrived young people who can communicate in basic English but may still need extra support to understand class learning, express themselves in English, and feel more confident at school. As the program is delivered online via Zoom, students are able to join from any location, as long as they meet the visa eligibility requirements.

Although the program is scheduled to start on Monday, 23rd March, SSI will continue accepting participants throughout the term.

Eligibility and registration can be checked directly through the QR code on the flyer, so please feel free to share it with any students, families, or workers who may be interested!

The Future Ancestors Program acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of so-called Australia.

We acknowledge Turrbal and Yaggera country - places on which we gather that have always been enriched by lore, community, culture and identity.

We recognise all indigenous people, in particular those from the Pacific and the interwoven history we share with the First Nations people of Australia.
