National Youth Parliament - Queensland

Expressions of interest are now open!

Young people aged 16-17 from across the nation are encouraged to submit an EOI at https://nyp.houseofrepresentatives.gov.au/

This free program empowers 16-17-year-olds with the knowledge, tools, and experiences needed to understand how government works and how to participate meaningfully in civic life.

All costs associated with the program including travel and accommodation are covered by the program.

No prior political experience is required just curiosity, commitment, and a desire to learn.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply, as are young rural and regional Australians or those from marginalised backgrounds.

Future Ancestors Program IG Post(1).png

The Future Ancestors Program acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of so-called Australia.

We acknowledge Turrbal and Yaggera country - places on which we gather that have always been enriched by lore, community, culture and identity.

We recognise all indigenous people, in particular those from the Pacific and the interwoven history we share with the First Nations people of Australia.
