About the Amazing Race: Climate Edition
While Pacific youth are increasingly active in climate movements, there remains a gap in accessible opportunities for Pacific diaspora to build knowledge of global climate processes, strengthen leadership skills, and engage meaningfully in international climate advocacy spaces such as COP31. Future Ancestors is passionate about nurturing the next generation of Pacific climate leaders through storytelling, community organising, and collective action across Australia.With support from PLAN International Australia and the Feminist Climate Collective, we're thrilled to launch the Future Ancestors Amazing Race: Climate Edition!
In teams of five, participants will race across Brisbane, navigating fun, interactive challenges inspired by climate justice, Pacific knowledge, leadership, and global climate spaces. Along the way, they'll solve puzzles, complete challenges, uncover clues, and discover how local action connects to global change.
More than just a race, this experience is designed to spark curiosity, strengthen connections, and empower Pacific young people to see themselves as leaders in the climate movement. By the finish line, participants will have built new friendships, deepened their understanding of climate justice, and gained the confidence and skills to take their voices into national and international climate conversations—including the road to COP31.

Participants will need to be available for the duration of the program.

Cost
All travel and meals will be covered for the duration of the race.
Transport
Participants will be responsible for their transport costs to and from the race start and finish venue.
